Editing Product Content

Fill in product content, manage media, handle variants, and publish across markets and channels from a single editor.

The product detail editor is where you fill in, manage, and publish content for individual products. It handles everything from core product data to market-specific content, translations, and media.

Understanding the layout

The editor is divided into sections. At the top you'll find system fields — product name, status, and identifiers. Below that, content is organised into groups such as Merchandising, Compliance, Technical Specifications, and Media.

Use the section navigation on the left to jump between groups quickly. The Required and Missing views show only the fields that need attention for your current scope.

Editing by scope

Most fields in Stackcess support scoped editing — meaning you can have different content for different markets, channels, or languages. The scope toolbar at the top of the editor shows your current context.

To edit content for a specific market or language, select it in the scope toolbar and switch on edit mode. Changes you make apply to that scope only. Some fields are global and apply everywhere — your admin controls which fields are scoped and which are not.

Managing media

The Media section shows your product's image and document slots. Each slot has a defined purpose — for example, front image, back image, or compliance certificate.

To assign media, click a slot and choose an asset from your Asset Library, or upload a new file directly. Each slot keeps a version history so you can restore a previous file if needed.

Variants

If a product has variants — for example, different sizes or flavours — you manage the variant structure from the parent product. You can add new variants and define their axis values (such as size: 250g, 500g, 1kg), set variant-level content that differs from the parent, and convert a standalone product into a parent product when adding the first variant.

Translations

If your workspace has translation enabled, you'll see a translation panel option in the scope toolbar. Select a target language, open the translation panel, and review AI-generated suggestions before applying them to the product.
